We install and remove plants, shrubs and trees — whether that is filling a bare bed, replacing something that has outgrown its spot, or taking out a shrub that has died back. Plant selection matters as much as the planting itself: the right plant for the light, drainage and space it actually has will outlive a better-looking choice in the wrong place.
Autumn planting gives roots the whole cool season to establish while the soil is still warm, so the plant faces its first Richmond summer already anchored. Spring planting works, but it needs far more watering to get through July and August.
Soil stays warm well after the air cools, so roots keep growing while the top of the plant is dormant and demanding little. By summer the plant is established rather than still trying to root.
Removal scope depends on the size of the plant and access to the spot. Ask when you get in touch and we will tell you what is workable.
